Criminal Investigations

About CIS

The Criminal Investigations Section is under the command and control of the Lieutenant.  The Pendleton Police Department has three Detectives.  A Detective Sergeant, General Criminal Law Detective and a Narcotics Detective who is assigned to the Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team (BENT).

The detectives in the Criminal Investigations Section are responsible for follow up investigations of specific assigned cases. These cases are usually the more serious incidents reported to the police department such as, but not limited to, homicides, robberies, serious sexual assaults, serious physical assaults, child abuse cases and other cases that demand unique investigative knowledge, time and may require travel outside the local area.
